Sheikh Salman Badr Al-Hasan

Sheikh Salman is Partner at Dome Advisory and Chief Legal Officer and Head of Shariah at Primary Finance (primary-finance.com). He is a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales and a Shari’ah scholar with over 15 years of experience in advising on Islamic finance transactions, including working as an Associate at Simmons & Simmons. Sheikh Salman is an AAOIFI certified Shari’ah Advisor and auditor.

Sheikh Salman studied law at the London School of Economics and Shari’ah at Al-Azhar University. He is passionate about teaching the Arabic language and is a founder of the Arabica Institute (arabicainstitute.com).

Sheikh Bilal Khan MBA

Sheikh Bilal is a Partner at Dome Advisory and Partner & Global Head of Islamic Finance at the City of London-based international law firm McCarthy Denning. He serves as Chief Islamic Finance Officer at the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and sits as the only Shariah and English law arbitrator along with senior British judges and Queens Counsel at the AIFC International Arbitration Centre. He is a member of the AIFC Advisory Council on Islamic Finance and a member of the AIFC Central Shari’ah Advisory Board.
Sheikh Bilal is an award-winning Shariah Scholar and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales. He trained and qualified at a top five ‘Magic Circle’ English law firm in the City of London. He is a special adviser to numerous presidents’ and prime ministers’ offices. His Islamic finance and Shariah law expertise covers the full spectrum of financial services including banking, projects, finance, capital markets, investment funds, insurance and related laws and regulations.
